The TOKAI Group
The parent company of TOKAI ERFTCARBON GmbH is TOKAI CARBON Co, Ltd. The company was founded in Japan in 1918 and is considered a pioneer in the Japanese carbon industry. Today, TOKAI CARBON is active worldwide and – through its numerous subsidiaries – produces not only graphite electrodes that meet the highest quality standards, but also e.g. carbon black for the tire and rubber industry, special graphite for technical and chemical applications, carbon fibres and other related products.
President and CEO Hajime Nagasaka cites the high quality of the products on the one hand and the aspect of reliability as the foundation of the company’s philosophy on the other as reasons for its success.
